Youth Awards Program
The Calgary Chapter first initiated the youth awards program in 2017 and we have held it annually since then where we award two youth with a trophy belt buckle and SCI Membership to the Chapter for One Year.
Our first award is the Youth Hunter Award - which is awarded to a youth that has harvested the largest Alberta Species as per the SCI Record Book.
The second award is the Youth All Around Hunter Award - which is awarded to a youth who demonstrates exceptional leadership within the hunting, angling and outdoors community.
About the Youth Program
Basic Rules & Entry Details
1) The animal (s) must have been harvested in either the 2024 or 2025 hunting seasons.
2) The animal(s) must be measured by a registered official SCI Measurer
3) If applying for the Youth All Around Hunter Awards a short essay outlining the involvement of the youth or letters of recommendation need submitted.
4) The youth must be between the ages of 10 and 18 as of December 31 2025.
5) It is open for any big game animal able to hunted within the province of Alberta either through general license or draw.
